Presidential Search Update: Campus meetings & survey

Dear Gettysburg College community,
Since my last communication, the Presidential Search Committee (PSC) has been working diligently with our search consultant, Russell Reynolds, to develop a number of ways for our campus community to provide their input on the search for the 15th President of Gettysburg College. I’m pleased to share the following dates/times that have been established for representatives of the PSC and Russell Reynolds to meet with campus groups. All meetings will be held in Mara Auditorium, Masters Hall.

  • August 20, 4:00 – 5:00pm: Open forum for faculty
  • August 21, 9:45 – 10:45am: Open forum for support staff
  • August 21, 1:30 – 2:30pm: Open forum for administrators
  • August 21, 2:45 – 3:45pm: Open forum for ALL campus
  • August 21, 4:00- 5:00pm: Open forum for students
  • To offer another opportunity for students to provide input, I will host an additional open forum meeting with students on September 6 from 5:00-6:00pm.

In addition to these open forum meetings, Russell Reynolds is hosting small group meetings with President’s Council, Faculty Council, representatives and leaders from the town of Gettysburg, the Administrative and Support Staff Advisory Councils, and department chairs, among others.

Finally, with Russell Reynolds’ assistance, the PSC is administering a short survey that will allow our greater-Gettysburg College community to provide their input. Take the survey. The deadline to submit feedback is August 24.

We hope that everyone will take advantage of opportunities to become involved in the search.  Attend these meetings, fill out the survey, and share your ideas and suggestions with us. The findings will provide the foundation for the presidential profile that will be used to recruit candidates.

As a reminder, members of the community can find more information about the search at Nominations, inquiries, and expressions of interest in the position should be directed to Russell Reynolds at
