Sunderman spotlight: Ivy-Rose Kramer ’19
What is your major?
I am a music and English double major.
What is your instrument?
I play French horn.
How will your time here have influence on your career in music?
I am not planning on pursuing a career in music, but I know that I will always have music as a part of my life. Specifically, in my writing, I plan on using my knowledge of musical elements within my poetry. I think that my continual exposure to French horn performance, as well as close study of musical material, has given me vast insight into how music and language intersect. I plan on using that in my career of creative writing, and even, in my career in legal writing.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan on attending law school in Oregon. There, I will study legal writing and consumer defense. I hope to one day work in the fight for health care coverage for American citizens.
